About Me

Who am I? Well, I'm not 100%, more like 200%. I've spent about 20 years within industrial production in roles such as machine operator, quality technician and manufacturing engineer. I enjoy learning and to develop myself as part of my everyday life and of the past 7 years, several has been with both full time work and full time studies in various subjects. IT has been a hobby all my life, but 2020 when Covid-19 struck, I decided to make it a larger part of my life and went into .NET-development studies and now my focus is on getting more awesome every day!

But I have lots of time for other things as well. For example doing good for others. I'm a cyclist as well as sponsor administrator in Team Rynkeby - Skaraborg, collecting money to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund, and will be biking to Paris (1300km) during a week in the summer of 2022. I've also spent many hours at schools lecturing about Gifted Children as part of Swedish MENSAs Gifted Children Program. For some years I had my own small IT business on the side, working with hardware and software support. Working with computers as a whole have always felt natural and super easy.

Work

Various manufacturing companies

Manufacturing consultant in Sweden and Norway March 2020 - Present

At the same time as Sansera reduced their workforce and I was laid off, Covid-19 struck. Finding a new technician job in Sweden became difficult so I went back to operating CNC-machines, first in Sweden, then in Norway. After a while I also began studying .NET-development (distance) parallel to work.

Sansera Sweden AB, Trollhättan

Assistant Production Leader / Technician March 2019 - February 2020

I was recruited to Sansera as Manufacturing Engineer, but only a week before I began there they laid off a large part of the workforce. I took another role as assistant production leader for 6 months. During that time, among other things, I:

  • finished a small packaging project for a German customer with ca 50% cost reduction
  • administered the Office 365 system as well as did a lot of hardware problem-solving
  • managed daily production meetings
  • supported production with running machines, daily logistics and problem solving
  • supported the other departments with developing routines and documentation
  • I.M.I. Hydronic Engineering, Annelund

    Quality Technician November 2017 - March 2019

As Quality Technician I was responsible for the quality and improvement work in three departments, one with pure machining, one with pure assembly, and one combined machining and assembly. I also was responsible for claims to the departments from the IMI groups Polish assembly factory. Except the usual follow up of quality KPI:s and statistics I for example:

  • was always in some way coordinating between production departments, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Quality and Laboratory
  • handled Fast Response projects
  • was driver of many minor improvement projects
  • often worked very closely with ME out in the workshop to solve challenges
  • I.M.I. Hydronic Engineering, Annelund

Machine operator (parallel with studies) April 2016 - November 2017

This is Photoshop's version of Lorem Ipsum. Morbi accumsan ipsum velit. Nam nec tellus a odio tincidunt auctor a ornare odio. Sed non mauris vitae erat

Studies (see above), and part time politics

    Student / Elected representative September 2013 - April 2016

When I left Volvo to study Industrial Technology I also had several political assignments at both municipal and regional level. For about 30% of full-time I was political chairman of the municipal Elder Care and Social Services. Included with that assignment I was part of the municipal board and the budget preparations. I was on call 24/365 for the social services in case of emergency, where the chairman is the only one that has delegation to take action when for example, a child needs to be taken away from its parents due to domestic violence.

    Volvo AB

    Machine operator June 2000 - September 2013

Several different positions within Volvo Penta / Volvo Aero (since Oct 2012, GKN Aerospace AB). Primarily machine operator but also several responsibilities within Quality and Change Management. Between 2007 and 2013 I was leader for our machinegroup's improvement team and also had responsibilities with handling Quality and Statistical Process Control within the machinegroup.

    Skills

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.

    Henry Ford

When I finished gymnasium and went out into the worklife, I was extremely tired of school and also thought I was tired of learning, but ten years later I began to understand that was not the case. It was the way school was/is created for "normal" people that was the problem for me. Everyday at school I had to hold myself back to "fit-in" and to be "normal". At 32 years old I joined MENSA, and things got alot clearer.
Everyday since I have been tearing down the walls that "school-life" built, understanding my potential and getting more awesome everyday. That is also why I sometimes lecture about the challenges Gifted Children meet in Swedish schools.
